Quiet Campaign So Far

PRINCE GEORGE – The election campaign is officially underway and, other than some signage around the city, you’d never know it.

“But so far, on the campaign trail, there seems to be unanimity of opinion among those running,” says Jason Morris, UNBC Political Scientist. “There doesn’t seem to be much fire, there doesn’t seem to be much interest in bringing about different views.”

A former long-time City Councillor and Mayoral Candidate Don Zurowski says there may be a sense of satisfaction with the past four years.

“I do think, generally speaking, there’s a fair bit of contentment in the community. It’s a populist City Council.”
