Open House To Introduce New Harm Reduction Program in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE — A community open house this weekend will be the venue for the launch of a new harm reduction program.
It will be hosted by the POUNDS Project, a local harm reduction initiative, and take place at the Fire Pit Cultural Drop-In Centre on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
The POUNDS Project is working in tandem with the Central Interior Native Health Society to address the ongoing opioid crisis and its impact on the community.
Organizers say service providers in the areas of mental health and addictions, social services, community development, and emergency services are encouraged to attend along with the general public.
