Spruce Kings Shutout Silverbacks

PRINCE GEORGE – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks stopped for a visit in Prince George on Saturday night to face the Spruce Kings. 

The game started how it ended, with the Spruce Kings putting the puck in the back of the net. Corey Cunningham had the first goal of the game for Prince George and the only goal of the first period. In the second it was the same routine, one goal but this time from the Spruce Kings Dustin Manz. In the final minutes of the game, Nick Bochen scored for the Kings on a power play assisted by Ben Brar and Corey Cunningham. Prince George didn’t stop at 3-0, Max Coyle scored his first BCHL goal followed by Ben Poisson tipping the puck into Salmon Arms net, ending the game with a 5-0 score for the Spruce Kings. 

Next up for the Spruce Kings, a three-game road trip starting Friday to face Coquitlam and Langley.
