Fresh Faces On School Board

PRINCE GEORGE- Two of the seven new school trustees are incumbents, that means there will be a bit of a learning curve for those who are fresh to the board. Tim Bennett and Sharel Warrington were on the last board. Ron Polillo, Trent Derrick, Betty Bekkering, Shuirose Valimohamed, and Bob Thompson have also been elected as school trustees. Bennett says there are two big items on the agenda for this board including catchment and capacity and a new funding formula. That formula has yet to be announced by the province but will have to be incorporated into the 2019 budget.
