Kings Show No Mercy

PRINCE GEORGE – The Langley Rivermen took a beating in Prince George Friday night as the Spruce Kings came out on top 8-1. 

The puck was dropped by Prince George Operation Red Nose to start the game, but the first period did come to a close scoreless.

In the second, Dustin Manz didn’t waste any time putting the Spruce Kings on the board 1-minute in. Shortly after the crowd saw goals from Patrick Cozzi, Tyler Schleppe, another from Manz and one from the Rivermen to finish off the second period 4-1. 

Heading into the third, hats were tossed onto the ice as Manz hit the hat trick 5-minutes in. Prince George fans were not left without a show, the final 15-minutes featured two goals from Nicholas Poisson and another from Cozzi.

The final game of the score was 8-1, Manz with the first star, Cozzi with the second and Nick Bochen as the third following his three assists during the game.
