PRINCE GEORGE – The Four Rivers Co-op presented the Salvation Army with a cheque this morning from their Fuel Good Day and BBQ back in September.

The final donation was $1,177 and that included 100 percent of the profits made at the BBQ.

Fuel Good Day was hosted for the second time across Western Canada and the idea is 10 cents from every litre of fuel sold was donated to a charitable organization of each Co-op’s choice.

“We picked the Salvation Army because all of the great work that they do in our communities. Each co-op got a chance to pick its own charity and for Four Rivers Co-op in Vanderhoof and Prince George, we chose the Salvation Army, they do great work working with those less fortunate, helping to feed and clothe people, look after them and they do such a great job looking after those less fortunate,” says General Manager of Four Rivers Co-op, Allan Bieganski.
