PRINCE GEORGE – Friday night was the Prince George Spruce Kings one and only game of the weekend and they left it all on the ice in a 5-3 win over the Nanaimo Clippers.

Nanaimo came out strong with the first and only goal of the first period. In the second, Dustin Manz was red hot scoring two goals to put the Spruce Kings up 2-1 heading into the final 20 minutes.

The third period was full of action, with goals from Ben Brar, Ben Poisson and the hat-trick goal from Manz to top things off. Nanaimo managed to get two more shots in the back of the Spruce Kings net during the third but the game ended 5-3 for the Kings.

The Spruce Kings will take a breather before hosting Surrey for two games on December 14th and 15th.
