Cougars Third Straight Loss On The Road

PORTLAND – Friday night’s game in Portland gave the Cougars their third straight loss on the road and the Winterhawks their third straight win. 

In the first period, the Winterhawks scored twice on a four-minute power play to get things started. 

The Cougars fought right back with one goal from Josh Maser in the second but it wasn’t enough to stop Portland from putting three more into the back of the Cougars net. 

In the final 20 minutes, Cougars Vladislav Mikhalchuk got the final goal of the night, ending the game 5-2 for the Winterhawks. 

The Cougars will finish off their double-header weekend Sunday night in Portland, the puck drops at 6 pm.
