Spruce Kings Layton Ahac and the Canada West Junior A team he’s playing for got underway in Bonnyville over the weekend at the World Junior A Challenge with a shootout win over the States. Now that the tournament is underway, NHL Central Scouting has released a ‘Players to Watch’ list. A list that Ahac, a current B-ranked NHL Prospect finds himself on. They’ve listed him as a smart, two-way defenceman who finds ways to contribute offensively. His presence this season is helping the Kings too, who have had scouts in the building all season and continue to gain recognition on the nation stage.
