Operation Red Nose Delivers Close to 1000 Safe Rides Home

PRINCE GEORGE — Another successful Operation Red Nose campaign in Prince George – Prince George’s 21st.

Spokesperson Andrea Johnson says this year was their fifth best ever with 959 rides delivered by 197 volunteers. 157 of those rides were delivered on New Year’s Eve.

“We’re quite happy with how New Year’s Eve unfolded,” she says. “The longest wait times were one hour at most and our teams managed to keep up with the demand for rides we experienced from midnight to 3 a.m.”

Prince George is one of 11 communities in BC offering the service and delivered the second most rides.

All donations received from clients go directly towards youth and amateur sport organizations in Prince George.
