UNBC And Rio Tinto Form Partnership To Support Students

PRINCE GEORGE – UNBC is forming a partnership with mining giant Rio Tinto, in an effort to support students and grow the capacity for education and research in the area.

Rio Tinto will contribute $450,000 over the next three years towards various programs at the University.

The focus will be research of the Nechako Watershed region as well as providing experience-based learning opportunities for UNBC students.

These opportunities will see students working in hands-on research programs as well as internships and co-operative placements with Rio Tinto.
