The Cougars losing streak now stands at eight games after a 4-1 loss last night in Kamloops. The cats are also still winless in six games this year against the Blazers.

It was the fourth game in a row where the Cougars could only manage to score one goal. That lone goal for the cats came from Vladislav Mikhalchuk on the power play, his 18th of the year. Kyrell Sopotyk had two goals while Zane Franklin had two assists to lead the Blazers offensively.

The cats were outshot 20-8 after one period and 44-27 overall. Taylor Gauthier made 40 saves on 43 shots while Dyllan Ferguson stopped 26 of the 27 he faced.

The Cougars will have three opportunities against Vancouver to snap their skid, the first being tonight in Vancouver. The Cougars will then host Vancouver for two games on Tuesday and Wednesday at the CN Centre.
