PRINCE GEORGE – The City is still crunching numbers for the 2018 wildfire season.
The City spent $4.8 million dollars in hosting 10,000 evacuees in 2017. That was reflected in the City’s budget, passed on Monday. But the numbers are still unknown for how much it cost the City to house evacuees in 2018. Kris Dalio, the City’s Director of Finance say that figure will be considerably lower than the 2017 numbers. But the City is still in the process of getting those figures together.
