Courtyard Marriott boycott

PRINCE GEORGE – The Board of Directors for the Northern Regional Construction Association is taking issue with the prime contractor on the Marriott Courtyard Hotel.

The Association says the prime contractor out of Calgary has yet to pay several local sub-contractors. The Association says, since 2018, UPA Construction indicated it has no intention of issuing payment on the 30 million dollar project.

Efforts to secure payments from UPA have resulted in nothing more than a demand to reduce their contract pricing by 30 percent or seek legal action.
