PRINCE GEORGE — A collaboration between the Prince George RCMP and Northern Health providing emergency mental health services began in April 2015.

The Mental Health Response Team, or Car 60, has been a success in its four years of operation and now there may be room for expansion.

PG RCMP Superintendent Warren Brown referred to it as “one of the better successes for general policing in recent years”.

The Car 60 concept isn’t exclusive to mental health as there is an opportunity to branch into other sensitive issues.
