PRINCE GEORGE- As the snow melts and the temperatures get warmer many Prince George residents will start to think about spending more time outdoors. The third annual Gear for a Cure is taking place today. It's an opportunity for fishing, hunting, and outdoor enthusiasts to buy new and used gear for the season and get advice from the experts. It's all for a good cause as proceeds from admission, the raffle, and concession will support cancer research. The hosts of the event are road biking 200 kilometres in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation. It takes place from 8:30 until 2:30 this afternoon at the Columbus Centre in College Heights. Admission is by donation.
