Former Northern Capitals Goalie Honoured By Canada West

Former Northern Capitals goalie Kelsey Roberts has received some accolades from the Canada West conference, as she was named this week’s first star of the week. The second-year Calgary Dinos netminder was unbeatable over the weekend, stopping all 71 shots she faced against the Regina Cougars. The Kitimat B.C. product played with the Northern Capitals from 2012 to 2016, winning back-to-back midget triple-A provincial titles in 2015 and 2016. After her two shutouts this weekend, Roberts now has four shutouts on the season, which are Calgary’s only four wins all year, so she’s been pretty important to the team.
