Break And Enter At Prince Rupert Business

PRINCE RUPERT – Police responded to a break, enter and theft at a local business early this morning. At around 6 am, police say they found the door of a business on 1st Avenue kicked in and $200 worth of cash was stolen from a register.

RCMP are still searching the area for surveillance footage, witnesses and any further evidence.

There was another break and enter that occurred over the weekend at a business on 6th Avenue W. About $1600 was stolen and police believe the suspect entered through an unlocked door.

Police recommend that businesses and homes equipped with security cameras are updated and functioning properly.
