The Cariboo Cougars remain unbeaten at the Mac’s Midget Hockey Tournament in Calgary, but they’re no longer perfect.
After opening the tournament Tuesday with a 10-0 win over the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes, the Cougars jumped out to a 4 – 0 lead on their Wednesday opponents from Swift Current. But the Legionaires fought back to earn a 5 – 5 draw with the Cougars.
The Cougars had 2 goals from Mason Richey and singles from Brandon Dent, Hunter Floris, and Brennan Malgunas in the tie.
Up next is a Thursday morning (8:00am pst) round robin game against Edmonton’s K of C Pats. The Pats have won their lone round robin game.
