Snowfall Warning Ended

PRINCE GEORGE – The snowfall warning has ended, but the snow has stuck. The warning was in effect for northern and eastern parts of B.C.

Environment Canada said up to 15 – 20 centimetres of snow was expected to accumulate across the Northern and Central Interior.

In response to the extreme winter weather, the RCMP North District Traffic Services offered this advice earlier this year: “If you are travelling in winter weather, make sure you and your vehicle are prepared and equipped. Ensure that your vehicle fluids are topped up, and that your vehicle has winter tires. Perhaps consider carrying an emergency kit with you containing blankets, snacks and water in the event you encounter long delays in travel,” says Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, North District RCMP.

Conditions will ease in Prince George as the system moves over the Rockies into southeastern B.C.
