Steering Wheel Lock Give-Away For Auto Crime Prevention Month

PRINCE GEORGE-April is Auto Crime Prevention Month in BC. The Prince George RCMP Community Policing  Section and  ICBC are teaming up once again, offering a steering wheel lock to those who drive an older model vehicle without an anti-theft system.  Preference will be given to owners of vehicles specifically targeted in our community, which includes Ford, GMC/Chevrolet, and Dodge pickup trucks more than eight years old. In Prince George, Auto Theft has gone up 43% from 2016 to 2017, while Theft from Vehicles has gone up 17% during the same period.
