PRINCE GEORGE – 15 balloons were tied to the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena on Sunday, one for every life lost when the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team’s bus crashed with a truck late last week.

Tears flowed as a moment of silence was held honouring the fallen. One by one people continued to come. Quietly lighting candles and taking a moment to remember the lives that have been lost.

Prince George Spruce Kings players Kyle Johnson, Brady Bjork, and Sam Anzai made green ribbons to pay their respects to the Humboldt Broncos.

“We had players that had friends of players who were on the bus, and the connections are… there are close ties. So helping those guys and helping the victims as best we can,” says Kyle Johnson, PG Spruce Kings.
