PRINCE GEORGE – A local single mother is lending a hand to families in need. Paige Langille collects baby items and gives them to people throughout Prince George. Langille started the Facebook page ‘New Beginnings, Helping Hands’ in January. Through the page, she collects baby items people no longer need and connects them to a young or low-income family.

“It just took off, people started replying saying ‘hey I have this’ and ‘I have that’ and ‘I can give you this’ and ‘oh I need this’, perfect, here you go,” says Paige Langille, founder of New Beginnings, Helping Hands.

One of the items Langille finds hard to provide is baby formula. She raises money through bottle drives to buy formula. Bottle donations can be made to her account #589 at Nechako Bottle Depot.

Langille says she started the page after her own struggles trying to provide for her daughter as a single parent.
