Councillor Merrick Looking at Mayor’s Seat In Wells

PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George City Councillor Jillian Merrick says she will be running for the position of Mayor in the Community of Wells. Currently, the district of Wells does not have a sitting mayor. Merrick who works and owns a home in Wells was asked to run for Mayor on a temporary base. According to Merrick, the community has had three by-elections in three years and recently had a Mayor and Councillor resign. Wells needs to have another by-election and whoever is elected will only serve for four months.
