Local Mounties Receive Long-Service Awards

PRINCE GEORGE – There was plenty of red serge at the Playhouse this morning. Fifteen local RCMP members from both the detachment as well as North District received long-service awards. The officers received medals for 20, 25, 30 and even 35 years of service. There are also long-service awards for the civilian staff of the RCMP. Some notable names include Corporal Claudette Garcia for 30 years of service and Sergeant Harvey Nelson for 35 years of service. And it’s important to recognize the work of these individuals.
