Bike to School and Work Week

PRINCE GEORGE – It’s Bike to School and Work Week,  with workplaces across the city organizing teams and challenging co-workers to bike rather than drive.

To celebrate the event and give people extra motivation to keep cycling, some businesses are sponsoring Celebration Stations before or after the workday.  Schools are also encouraged to participate by registering their classes as a team, and encouraging kids to ride their bikes to and from school.

The city is also participating by footing the transit bill for anyone carrying a bike helmet.

Celebration Stations will be at the following locations:

Tuesday                (6:45 – 9:15)  – Ave Maria/Handsome Cabin Boy Tattoo
                              (3:45 – 6:00)  – Ruckus

Wednesday          (6:45 – 9:15)  – Koops Bike Shop
                             (3:45 – 6:00)  – Pidherny Trails

Thursday              (6:45 – 9:15)  – CNC

Friday                    (6:45 – 9:15)  – Two Rivers Gallery

Wine Down Party (4:30 – 7:00) – Northern Estates Winery
