Teacher Teaches Canadian History Through Musical

PRINCE GEORGE – A local elementary school teacher David Schulte has adopted a creative way of teaching Canadian history to his Grade 3 and 4 students at College Heights Elementry School. He’s combined Canadian history with music with the result being an informative musical with which students can learn. Over the last several years he took the Canadian history curriculum from a textbook and transformed it into a musical.  Schulte admits its a bit of a challenge to teach a group of elementary students a musical. But he has seen positive results. Schulte says sometimes years later students from the past come up to him recalling the musicals he taught them.
