PRINCE GEORGE – No one was hurt after Prince George Fire Rescue crews from four halls responded to a structure fire at the BioEnergy Plant Friday night.
At around 8 pm crews arrived at the 9000 block of Willow Cale Road to find smoke coming from one of the plant’s vessels and several blowpipes.
With the help of plant staff, crews were able to cool the vessels and blowpipes, as well as extinguish embers from product and dust.
Assistant Chief Thad Kennedy says the fire appears to have started from an overheated blower fan.
