It’s that time of year when many residents start trimming their trees, or preparing their winter wood supply. BC Hydro has found electrical contact incidents involving residents are up 60 per cent from 2013. In the past five years there have been more than 400 incidents that involved power lines and many go unreported. Many of these incidents could have resulted in serious injury or death. These close calls with eletricity did occur while pruning trees or doing work on a roof.
