CUP-W Pickets Up In PG
PRINCE GEORGE – For the first time since the Canadian Union of Postal Workers began job action, there are pickets in Prince George.

“We’re sticking with rotating strikes across BC and Canada. We don’t want to burden our customers. We want to lessen that burden as much as possible,” explains Clark Rasmussen, President of CUP-W, Local 812. “At the same time, it puts a little more pressure on the Corporation to come back to the table and start negotiating for a fair deal.”
The union says Canada Post is making record profits, while it cuts positions and forces overtime. However, since job action was launched, there has been very little movement from the employer.
