PRINCE GEORGE – Five people were taken into custody Friday after a search warrant was executed at a home on Village Avenue. The search warrant was part of a Cannabis Act investigation.

Police found several pounds of dried cannabis, several pre-packaged bags of other cannabis products, cash and trafficking paraphernalia.

All five individuals have since been released without charges at this time, pending further investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.

This is the first enforcement action taken under the Cannabis Act in the city.
