Auxiliary to UHNBC celebrates 100th anniversary

PRINCE GEORGE — The Auxilliary to UHNBC celebrated its 100 year anniversary today with the unveiling of a plaque.

For the past century, the Auxilliary has been providing volunteers for a variety of services and for funding much-needed equipment.

With most of their funding coming from the hospital gift shop and its thrift shop, they have provided over 5.6 million dollars and over 1 million volunteer hours.

The auxiliary also announced it has partnered with Northern Health and Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation in donating $100 thousand dollars each for comfort renovations at Jubilee Lodge.
