Seedy Saturday: the start of the growing season in Prince George
Mar 1, 2019 | 10:47 AM
PRINCE GEORGE- It’s a cold day today, and with plenty of snow still left on the ground it may seem like it’s too early to start thinking about your garden… but you’d be wrong. Seedy Saturday marks the beginning of the growing season in Prince George. Master gardeners and the botanical society will be on hand to provide advice for newbie green-thumbs and there will be seeds available to swap and purchase. There are also a handful of expert presentations throughout the day. This year admission is by donation at the Knox United Church. It’s outgrown the old location, as more and more people are getting involved in the event and taking up gardening in the city. Seedy Saturday runs from 10 until 3 tomorrow afternoon.
