Mausoleum addition coming this year

PRINCE GEORGE – Memorial Park Cemetery will be getting an addition. To the mausoleum, that is. While the cemetery itself has more than 50 years of land inventory, the same cannot be said for the mausoleum, which will be full by the end of this year.

“The building was originally built with 464 niches and 100 crypts,” explains Tiffany Witala.

So Council has approved $1.4 million dollars to make an addition to the facility. The addition will be added to the southeast side of the current mausoleum and will have 860 niches.
