PRINCE GEORGE–A survey by BC Hydro shows that the average British Columbian commuter travels around 20 kilometers each day in their car. Making a 20 kilometer trip in the top selling sedan–a Honda Civic cost six times more than driving a Nissan Leaf–the top selling electric vehicle.

How much can you save?

At the equivalent of $0.25 per liter in gas, fueling an electric vehicle costs around 80 per cent less than fueling a gas powered one. Commuting 20 kilometers a day in a Nissan Leaf costs $2 a week, making it less than what the average Canadian spends on a cup of coffee at $3.60.
