The Independent Investigations Office has wrapped up its investigation into an incident involving Prince George R-C-M-P officers and a male cyclist.

Prince George Mounties reported a cyclist suffered a head injury after officers attempted to arrest him following them witnessing a suspected drug deal.

The I-I-O determined the injuries to the cyclist were minor and did not meet the definition of serious harm under the Police Act.

The I-I-O is an independent civilian oversight agency that investigates all police-related incidents which result in serious harm or death.
