PRINCE GEORGE – According to Prince George RCMP bicycles are becoming a form of currency.
Criminals are taking bikes either trading them for drugs or selling them in parts for cash.
A growing online registering app 529 Garage is reconnecting those who had their bikes were taken.
Prince George police and 529 Garage app have been fighting bike theft together for four years. The app registration has grown from a few thousand registered bikes to the largest in the world.
