PRINCE GEORGE – There were plenty of kudos around the table following a presentation by the David Douglas Botanical Garden Society.

The Society laid out plans for 23 acres of land on the UNBC campus that is currently tied across from the Northern Sports Centre for a botanical garden, which was referred to as an “exceptional” by Society President Linda Naess.

Phase One has been in place between the parking lots at UNBC.

Phase Two will b a $2.87 million project over a two-year period. It will include a Visitors Centre, research plots, an ornamental garden and a First Nations Garden.
