The Prince George Cougars are hoping a trip south of the border can get them closer to the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

After two losses over the long weekend at home to a pair of Alberta squads, the Cougars will hit the road for two games this weekend in the United States.

It all begins Friday night when they visit one of the top teams in the WHL, the Everett Silvertips. However, the Cats do own a 2-1 record against Everett this season.

Face-off is at 7:00 p.m.

Following Friday night’s game, the Cougars will have Saturday off before they head to Kent Washington Sunday for the final meeting of the season against the Seattle Thunderbirds, the team which the Cougars are chasing for the final playoff spot.

Prince George enters the weekend 9 points out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, but have a game in hand on Seattle.
