Despite giving up two points in the final two ends, Kerri Einarson’s Manitoba rink prevailed at the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw Sunday night as they earned an 8-7 win over Rachel Homan’s Ontario rink in the National final.

Going into the 9th end Einarson’s Manitoba rink led 7-3. However, two in the 9th by Homan and a missed draw by Einarson in the 10th resulted in a steal of 2 and forced the extra end.

But facing a similar draw to the four foot in the 11th on her last shot, Einarson wouldn’t miss twice as she secured the win for Team Manitoba.

The win marks the first National title for Einarson and her rink. They will now represent Canada at the World Women’s Curling Championship in Prince George beginning on March 14th.
