Remains of missing Quesnel man found

QUESNEL– The remains of a 25-year-old missing Quesnel man have been found.
Quesnel RCMP Sgt. Richard Wessen said in a release that a man hiking on the shore of the Fraser River called police to report he had found human remains. After investigation, the Forensic Identification Section and the BC Coroners Service identified that the remains belonged to 25-year-old Darryl Leblanc of Quesnel.
RCMP had an open investigation to locate Darryl after his father reported him missing on Jan.24th, 2020, he was last seen alive on Dec.30th, 2019.
RCMP would like to thank the family and the public for providing investigators with tips during the investigation. Saying that thoughts and prayers go out to Darryl’s family and friends.
