Two suffer gunshot wounds after targeted early morning shooting
PRINCE GEORGE–Two people are in hospital recovering from gunshot wounds and RCMP are investigating after what they believe to have been a targeted shooting earlier this morning (July 27).
Prince George RCMP say that they received multiple reports of a disturbance near the 2200 block of Victoria Street at around 3 a.m. Monday morning. Frontline RCMP officers attended the scene where they located an adult male and adult female suffering from what they believed to be gunshot wounds.
Paramedics transported both of the victims to the hospital for treatment. Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is leading the investigation. Members of the Police Dog Service and Forensic Identification attended the area to assist. Police say that the incident is believed to be targeted and related to the drug trade. Both victims are expected to recover.
