PRINCE GEORGE — It was another successful day for the Spruce City Wildlife’s BackCountry Cleanups initiative Saturday. The group cleaned a regular dump site next to Heather Park Elementary school and in one hour removed 420 kilograms of garbage.

In a release, Steve Hamilton, President of the Spruce City Wildlife Association, wrote K.K.S Tactical Supplies has offered a trail camera at no charge toward helping combat the dumping problem.

The BackCountry Cleanups initiative began five years ago. In that time, over 50,000lbs of garbage, five vehicles, and numerous appliances and recyclables have been removed from dump sites.
