Possible COVID-19 exposure on YXS flight

PRINCE GEORGE — YXS says there was a possible COVID-19 exposure on a flight earlier this month.

The airport says the BC Centre for Disease Control has identified a possible exposure on October 13 on Flair flight 8187 from Prince George to Edmonton. Rows 10-16 may be affected.

If you were in rows 10-16 you may need to self-isolate or self-monitor as per BC Centre for Disease Control guidelines.

This is the sixth flight out of Prince George Airport to experience a possible COVID-19 exposure.

Three previous exposures occurred in March:

  • Central Mountain Air flight 9M725 on March 15 from Kelowna to Prince George (rows not reported by BCCDC)
  • Central Mountain Air flight 9M728 on March 12 from Prince George to Kelowna (rows not reported)
  • Air Canada flight 8209 on March 5 from Vancouver to Prince George (rows 9-15)

There were also two exposures in August:

  • Aug. 21 with Air Canada flight 8212 from Prince George to Vancouver (rows 6-12)
  • Aug. 24 on Flair Airlines flight 8711 from Vancouver to Prince George then on to Edmonton (rows 26-32).
