Bond wins, future for other major party candidates
PRINCE GEORGE – After Saturday’s election, MLA-Elect Shirley Bond will be heading back to the legislature with what was largely considered a secure seat. However, the BC Liberals actually lost seats overall.
With 88 of 89 polls reporting, Bond has 7,560 votes. The two other major parties, the NDP and the Green Party, came in second and third.
Laura Parent has 3,477 votes, and Mackenzie Kerr has 1,987. Both mentioned what their plans are now that the election is over.
