2020 poppy campaign underway

PRINCE GEORGE – It was a cold, windy and bleak launch to this year’s poppy campaign, but there was a launch nonetheless.

Poppy trays will be located in various venues and are sold by donation. The funds raised from the poppy campaign goes toward helping veterans with things like health care or rent.

“We normally raise about $80,000 a year here,” explains John Scott, the Services Officer for Northern BC. “I don’t imagine we’ll do that this year because, frankly, there aren’t enough places to put them and enough people to do it.”
