A COVID Halloween

PRINCE GEORGE–This was no average Halloween.

Prince George residents and organizations came together to create a COVID safe plan for trick-or-treaters this year, with two drive-thru trick or treating events in town.

The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group’s, River Halloween Haunt, kicked off at 1 p.m. on Oct.31st and went until 4 p.m. Nearly 500 vehicles came through the parking lot located on Third Ave., beside the Prince George Native Friendship Centre, and close to 1,500 people were served.

Prince George’s 11-year-old hero–who helped his family out of their flipped-over vehicle, just over a week ago–and his brother were presented with a trophy by Van Horlicks, and Northland Nissan.

The two boys also received remote control helicopters, at the Halloween Haunt.

The Prince George Candy Cruise also took place, serving over 22,500 people.
