Firearms, drugs and cash seized in traffic stop

HOUSTON–RCMP in Houston seized firearms, ammunition, drugs and cash after pulling a vehicle over in mid-October.

Houston RCMP say that on Oct.14, frontline officers observed a vehicle matching the description of one that had been reported stolen. Officers initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle was stopped without incident.

Mounties observed what appeared to be a gun case, in plain view, inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle. During the investigation, officers located several firearms, ammunition and an empty handgun magazine.

The driver, an adult male, and passenger, an adult female, were arrested.
