Charge laid in 2019 Prince George homicide

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP say one man has been charged after an altercation that led to the death of another man in Prince George last year.

Police say on Oct.4, 2019 at approximately 11:20 p.m., two people were involved in a physical altercation near the intersection of 20th Avenue and Redwood Street.

“As a result of this incident, 35-year-old Gregory Gareth Wale suffered serious injuries that later led to his death,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass.

“A public plea for assistance went out to help identify the person responsible, which led to the suspect attending the detachment and presenting himself to police.”

On Oct.6 , 2020 the BC Prosecution Service approved a charge of manslaughter against 30-year-old Dallas Phillip Adsit of Prince George.

“Members of the Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit located and arrested Adsit on Oct.28, 2020. He was held in custody overnight and released by the court next day, pending his next court date, which is scheduled for Wednesday January 6, 2021.”
