PRINCE GEORGE—”When I saw what Theatre NorthWest was doing, I knew I wanted to be involved,” said Judy Russell of Judy Russell Presents.

Theatre NorthWest will host Judy Russell Presents’ stage reading of Miracle on 34th Street this December.

Theatre Northwest had to change its approach to shows this year with the COVID-19 pandemic, and did so by implementing health and safety measures and instead of a play, they adapted to stage readings.

“The arts are so important for the mental health of the community, and I think we all need something positive to focus on.”—Judy Russel, Judy Russel Presents

“We are very focused on artist and patron safety, we know not everybody is ready to return to the theatre, but we also recognize the need for performance art in times like these.”

Stage readings, in pre-pandemic times, refered to a read through of the play by actors. An audience is invited so the director can get a sense of what is working, and how the play will be received.

Tickets for the show will go on sale, Thursday, November 5th at 10 a.m.
